You’re back? Alright!

This blog will serve as a companion to the column, allowing me to share some insight as to how and why I wrote each column, as well as give me a chance to rant on some things that I couldn’t fit in.

Each week in my CCW column, I try to come up with my own take on an issue in the world of comic culture. The initial notion then gets fleshed out into a coherent idea, and then into a full-blown column. It’s quite a challenge and I’m sure there are some – ok a lot of – folks who say I fail in my attempts. But there is a process in all this and sometimes I’ll have some random thoughts or incomplete ideas that just don’t make the cut. Also, quite often, I come up with something that just doesn’t fit the theme of the site.

In the interests of sharing some insight into my ‘process’ this is where many of these ideas and notions will get to see the light of day. I’m going to be honest about where the ideas come from, why I expressed that particular opinion in that column and hopefully stir up some conversation.
