Back from seeing the Wizard

The DC Comics Convention Staff helps me leave WW.

Wizard World Chicago 2008 has come and gone, but I managed to capture some very special memories in digital format. My long-awaited meeting with Jann Jones of DC Comics finally happened and I got a chuckle when Jann had to explain to everyone that our whole segment was a pre-arranged bit.

I got to get reacquainted with some friends in the comic industry, make some new ones and I didn’t go broke drinking at the Hyatt like I used to. So, all in all, a nice (but exhausting) weekend.

Also, there’s new news on the RedEye front, but I’ll talk about that in a bit. Until then, check out MY DATE WITH JANN JONES.

Saw the movie last night thanks to Capone from Aint It Cool News. Read my review at the CWR Reviews Page. I now fear for what KICK-ASS is going to turn out to be.

Leakers of the Lost Script

No…I have not read the Frank Darabont script to Indy 4 that leaked onto the internet a few days ago.

No…I am not aware that the title was originally Indiana Jones and the City of Gods.

No…I haven’t read the part where Marion returns in a manner much different than in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

No…I didn’t read the part where Indy walks on the wing of a bi-plane.

No…I didn’t think that the script was far superior to the one that was ultimately produced.

Joss Whedon is the Devil

Forget all those t-shirts that say ‘Joss is God’ or ‘Joss Whedon is My Master Now’…Joss Whedon is pure, unadulterated EVIL.  The man has no soul.  Behind those cold, cruel eyes is a pit of deep, sucking despair that draws the warmth away from all living beings around him leaving them chill and questioning their very reason for being.

How else do you explain the utter torment he puts his readers through?  How else can you justify what he did to Kitty Pryde at the end of Giant Size Astonishing X-Men #1?  He brings her back, reunites her with Peter and then…

…and then he let Drew Goddard screw up Xander’s love life in the Buffy comic…

…and then…

I can’t go on.  Joss, you evil, EVIL bastard.  How could you?

See?  There is no soul behind those eyes.
