How About Another Ridiculous Kick-Ass Movie Poster?

So, is this J.J. Abrams directed movie poster supposed to get me excited to go see the big screen adaptation of a shitty comic book? I surely hope not because it seems to be having the exact opposite effect on me.

Wow, AICN has been hyping this movie hard, almost as hard as Avatar. I use to be a huge fan of the site but I am not sure about them anymore.

But yeah, from the look of this poster and some of the other stuff I have seen, it sure looks like they are going for the emo/angst driven teen, young adult crowd here. I am sure my kid will want to see it, but I will have to put my foot down and tell her no katanas for X-Mas! Hey, I have to draw the line somewhere. =)

Kind off topic but comic culture tv related
Is anyone watching castle? E&J you guys still watching? I know the show is complete fluff its paper thing and thimble deep but I love it. and they had a comic book related episode. beckett reads frank miller!!! Every episode I watch I cant help thinking stana katic would have made a great black widow. she is sleek, sexy, they have a reddish tint to her hair and she’s eastern european and speaks 6 different languages. She is terrific on that show / the cast makes that show a blast.

Also tv related I ve had this question for the red head appreciation warriors since your last Felecia day post . what do you guys think of jayma mays? she played Charlie super memory girl on heroes and she plays emma the germaphobe guidance councilor on glee. I caught a couple of glee episodes and she is kind of adorable.

    • I’m still watching Castle. You’re right about it being complete fluff. But I really do like all the characters on the show. From the cops to Caslte’s daughter and mom, everyone is good. Fillion and Katic do make that show worth watching though. I like the dynamic between Beckett and Castle. Stana Katic was the ONLY decent thing about The Spirit movie. Another show that’s on ABC that I just got into is “Modern Family.” It’s pretty damn funny…and that’s coming from someone who really dislikes ABC shows.

Jayma Mays is quite cute and if I were to ever watch Glee she would probably be the reason why.

    Lens Flare Alert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

re what Johnnyhorror said, I thought it looked more like Red Robins costume, minus the hood of course.

And I’ve been watching Defying Gravity on the BBC but thats been cancelled so fuck that. Another good show gone while shit like True Blood goes on…

If Mark Millar’s toilet breaker of a movie isn’t enough to to get you excited here is his next comic book steamer where Mark Millar brazenly asks what if Batman were the Joker: http://comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=23934
