Another day 1. 0y
I’m telling you Phil you are my brother from another mutha
Can’t believe this hasn’t been on indie flick friday yet
I think it will make it this Friday.
Locus what movie is this?
It’s like the bastard child of Donner Superman and Starwars lol
Whoa!? You haven’t seen Dazed and Confused, Deemar? You best rectify that situation.
Dazed and Confused would easily make it into my top 10 films of all time, top 5 even, perhaps.
I think Deemar meant the video posted below. After a little Google, I found out that it’s from a movie called The Return of Captain Invincible. I’ve never seen that movie but I agree that Dazed And Confused is great. It’s one of the few movies that actually lives up to its cult following.
Yup, Smartass is correct, its from the Return of Captain Invincible, one of the least watched hollywood films of all time I’d say.
The film is alright but the “Name your Poison” song is the best part of it by far. Its worth it just to see Christopher Lee do a song and dance number.
That was pretty awesome Pobra. Hadn’t heard that remix.
Jose, never before has a Mellow Monday caused me to want to dance more than this one.
Can anyone explain this video to me? I just don’t get it.
ah more canadian insanity/genius, the safety dance is a legendary song. I think its using similar pagan/heathen fertility rite themes as The Wicker Man film….just without the ritual burning 😉
All I know is everytime I listen to this song a little bit of my blackness chips away.
Locus is correct. That song is legendary. There really is no rational explanation for the Safety Dance. It really is best not to think of such things. 🙂
He sports an epic Michael Praed style mullet as well, you just couldn’t do that now!
Ricky Gervais’ band from the early 80’s. He’s the slightly chubby David Bowie look-a-like.
If you’re going to be posting obscure songs…
