  1. another great sgment guys nice to see you raving about a few marvel books top class

  2. phil says:

While I have rservations up the wazoo about T-bolts, I’ll be picking up the 1st issue…. perhaps tomorrow Partially to see what the Manthing twist is (by the way, I too like Manthing more than SwampThing, E…. we actuallt agree on something, go figure) also I’m intrigued about how they’re gonna work the Crossbones angle.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like you were speaking of this series as if Marvel is still working the redemption angle. Am I reading y’all correctly?

    • kurumais says:

yes redemption/ rehabilitation is the theme more so now then in dark reign but parker admits it probably won’t work for all of them

    • Deemar says:

Jeff Parker knows what he’s doing and like E said it’s the place to get your Luke Cage fix.

I couldn’t be more excited for this book. See what a great writer can do.

  3. Insideman says:

    SPEAKING OF JEFF PARKER…

Am I the only person PSYCHO IN LOVE with this?

I read this BEFORE you guys turned me onto Jeff Parker being the “GOD JEFF PARKER” and I can’t stop thinking about it!

I wish, I wish, wish there was going to be a MYSTERIUS sequel mini or on-going! Oh, how I wish!

  4. B. Wood says:

So glad your out of the “man cave”! Nice episode.

  5. SMARTASS8 says:

Are any of you worried that Bendis is still going to ruin Luke Cage since he has him in the new New Avengers?

As shitty as Dan Slott is treated at Marvel, I’m surprised that Jeff Parker keeps getting work. I find both of them to be similar in their treatment & knowledge of the Marvel Universe as well as the only consistent talent working at Marvel(I’d probably also include Christos Gage to that list as well as, at least some of the time, Ed Brubaker).

I was definitely intrigued by Man-Thing being on this team as well as liking what I saw when I flipped through this book at the store, but I’m surprised so many of you prefer a character who doesn’t talk & burns criminals over Swamp Thing.

As tempted as I have been to buy Secret Avengers and the 2 books reviewed here, I just don’t think I can until JoeyQ leaves Marvel and takes his inner circle of no-talents with him. It’s getting to the point that if I see a trailer for Toy Story 3(I loved the first 2 movies) or am watching something on ABC, all I can think of is how they are all tainted by JoeyQ The Hutt now that Disney owns Marvel.

    • Bendis has been ruining Cage for years so I don’t think that will stop anytime soon. Parker’s Luke Cage will be the only on that matters to me in the long run. Hopefully people will see now that Cage is being written by two different writes how much of a hack Bendis really is.

      J.
