  1. Because anything with Veronica Mars in it is relevant to my interests.

  2. Venom829 says:

    I’m too sexy for myself…

  3. Deemar says:

Even Basketcase scores more than you Jose! lol

  4. cballsack says:

Love that Batgirl picture. Who’s the artist?

  5. I saw Scott Pilgrim vs. the World tonight. Overall, I thought it was consistantly funny through-out, but character moments were lacking. I have never read the books, but now I want to DESPERATELY!!! Are the books just as funny as the movie?

  6. Deemar says:

    Chocolate and Peanut butter

    Portman and Kunis

  7. Heck says:

So I got a six pack and I just started watching the first season of Battlestar Galactica. Never saw it, but I’ve heard pretty good things, so we’ll see.

  8. MicahSkin says:

Since someone brought up FF awesomeness earlier this week, I been rewatching the ’06 FF cartoon. it’s rather rocking. I think they got Johnny perfect (ESP his screaming like a little girl). And Spiderman’s appearance rocked.
    “This guy’s a freelance photographer!”
    “Hi, I’m p…”
    “yeah, whatever…”

  9. Heck says:

Just found this band tonight. Pretty good!

  10. Crap… just remembered that I start school again in two weeks 😦 😦 😦 I won’t be able to stay up late with you guys on the weekdays anymore 😦 Where did summer go?!?!?!? Oh well hopefully I’ll finally read all of Scott Pilgrim before school starts again. Then (and only then) will there be a balance in the universe again.

  11. megamanx4ever says:

Here are my pictures from comic-con 2010 if anyones interested.

  12. cballsack says:

The “Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury” thread has 69 comments.

Just thought I should point that out.

  13. Heck says:

Can you feel the love tonight?

  14. agent42q says:

So am I the only person alive who read Critical Millennium: The Dark frontier? Somedays, I think I’m the coolest person in the room. Then I notice i’m the only person in the room, topless. Then I realize I’m the sexiest one too.

  15. megamanx4ever says:

This was a badass show and my faveorite show along with Batman Beyond when I was a kid.
I was fucking pissed when they ended Justice League though.

  16. Insideman says:

OKAY… I just kicked MORE RETAILER ASS:

Really taking no prisoners now. Manga sellers… Hmmmpf.

  17. Deemar says:

    Supa Friends of rap

  18. Deemar says:

    Get funky

  19. megamanx4ever says:

Jay is one of the funniest mofos ever.

  20. kurumais says:

the xmen first class movie it seems every day they are adding a new actor or actress to this flick… exactly how big was that fist class ?

  21. Insideman says:

Now THAT would be a SPECIAL mutant power I’d pay good money in Tijuana to see! πŸ˜‰

  22. Insideman says:

Greg Land stating his copying is because of deadlines.

BTW- when did they start holding CON PANELS in the back of Jazzercise Classes?

  23. kurumais says:

look at how smooth the graphics are for this dragon age 2 cutscene

    • Aah..there making a new one..I got Dragon Age Origins, a couple of weeks ago. Almost finished. That game is a hard to beat on normal! I even had to switch back to easy at one point. Plus this game is huge and has actually to be played multiple times to get the full story. Graphics are nothing special but this trailer looks a lot better.
Maybe a title to watch out for then.

      • MicahSkin says:

I liked asking Alister if he licked Lamp posts. I so wanted that guy. So adorable and stupid and hot looking.

And the rogue was awesome. Dual Wielding was the way to go. Stabbing someone in the guy with a knife and decapitating someone in the same move was great. I DID find the weakness of the magic system to be a little bit of a let down.

  24. Hey Guys I’m going to be going to Wizard World Chicago this weekend so I won’t be able to talk to you guys over the weekend (unless I’m lucky). I’ll probably be taking pictures so I’ll share any that I take! I hope I can find all the volumes of Scott Pilgrim there! Right now I’m willing to bend over backwards to read Scott Pilgrim right now! Hoping for a good convention!

  25. generaldark says:

so i read BD #8 and i must say i was pretty pleased with it πŸ™‚ probally because it focused more on one story then jumping around.

    • Venom829 says:

I’m shocked your still reading Brightest Day G.D. πŸ˜‰

    • so what’s the secret of the White Lanterns?

      • kurumais says:

more and more ppl are saying good things about bd but just dont want to spend the money

      • the secret is geoff johns has a boner for Hal jordan. is the new white lantern deadman or what?

        • generaldark says:

there is not realy a secret. Its basically the entity is dying and needs the twelve ressurected to protect the earth until the new “protector” arrives. In the mean time all the ressurected people have a goal they have to achieve in order to be fully ressurected. Like max lord has to stop magog from starting a war. Cap. Boomerang has to throw a boomerang at dove. Hawk has to catch that boomerang. Hawkman has to save hawkgirl or stop the hawkworld from entering earth. Hawkgirl has to i think kill hath set or save hawkman.

Deadman has to find the new protector then i geuss the ring will get off him. Aquaman has to find athe new aqualad before “They” do. oo! and martian manhunter has to burn the forest down. There is more but this is all from memory. i dont feel like getting the issue ATM lol.

  26. phil says:

Wow… looks like I missed quite a bit today. So when did Pandora leave and who left her box laying open?

  27. TheMSpot says:

Did anyone else read Batman Beyond #3?
I like how there pulling in elements from Kingdom Come and unfortunately Batman #700.
But hey at least someone who never made an appearance in the Batman Beyond cartoon finally makes their Batman Beyond debut.

  28. IronMuskrat says:

Holy shit! What happened to Carl Weathers?

  29. kurumais says:

Its getting expensive being a cap or thor fan lately.
As cap fan my monthly bill is shooting up
    Cap’s regular book
Karl kesel cap: patriot a story ive wanted to see somebody do forever
Roger stern cap forever allies a writer who had a great run on cap returns im in
Now mark waid comes back to cap how can I say no ?
    That doesn’t include secret avengers

So in november solits I have 4 $3.99 books ill be picking up just for cap
And while all of them seem worth while from a I want to read that story point of view
I am going to have skip another book or even drop a couple to make room,

And it looks like thor fans have even more books to buy

    • Deemar says:

All about the branding and marketing, with the movies coming it’s only gonna get worse.

I’d never have thought in the past Thor could sustain multiple titles, yet here we are.

  30. kurumais says:

    marvel and new york city
anyone else sick of 99.99999999% of marvel taking place in NYC?
i know all about the draw what you see history of marvel but enough already spread out

    and i like in brooklyn

    • TheMSpot says:

Another Marvel mandate. I remember a writer talking about writing a Gambit story and not being aloud to keep the entire story in the south and had to have some element taking place in NYC.

      • kurumais says:

thats what set it off for me mspot i was reading the solits for the klaw of the panther and could not figure out why an african super hero would have to come nyc to defend her home

        • TheMSpot says:

I almost forgot about Klaw of The Panther. How about Captain America: Hail HYDRA are you adding that to your growing list of Cap books?

          • kurumais says:

wtf is that? never even heard of this? cant they just drop the mind numbing nomad back up and put one of these suckers in off all thing caps own book
            now i have google this
            thanks mspot

            • kurumais says:

ok i looked it up and i officially dont hate it
this sucker doesnt come out till 2011 so patriot and forever allies are over before then
              i liked maberry’s black panther
also maberry said the falcon is one of his favorite characters and i love and respect anyone who says that

none of the artist names ring a bell to me but im sure they will at least adequate
so ill make room for it
              thanks for the heads up

              • TheMSpot says:

                No problem.
Yeah, I rather have a Falcon back up than that lame Nomad back up. Because it would be like the classic Captain America and Falcon books, but Marvel doesn’t know the meaning of classic or class for that matter. Anyway, I haven’t picked up the current arc, but I will be picking up the Trail of Captain America just because of the hype.

The Waid book looks interesting I may pick that up when it is released.
The Forever Allies book I just may want for trade.
Super Solider, I agree with you, should of been a back up in Cap.
That new ongoing about Cap’s early days just doesn’t do it for only because I have read so many stories about the early days in Cap’s career that I am not interested, will see if it is a fresh take, but I think that is the one that they’ll try to use to get fans of the movie with.
Hail HYDRA is the only one that I’m looking forward to. No brainer.

  31. So ya, I guess I am on Twitter now. Hooray…

  37. TheMSpot says:

Anyone else feel like Shadowland is a excuse for Marvel to relaunch a shit load of new titles at 3.99?

  38. Edward2962 says:

  42. Insideman says:

  45. TheMSpot says:

  46. Man, the blog has been dead today huh?

Just back back form the shitfest known as Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con. Gonna eat some pizza, drink some beer and I’ll put up the weekend open thread earlier than normal. Also need to finish editing Locusmortis’ Previews column so I can post it tomorrow. Should have gone up yesterday but the Wizard World shit got in the way. My apologies Locus.
