  1. Benicio127 says:

    Red Hood: Lost Days #4.
Judd Winick should be writing Jason Todd forever.

  2. Insideman says:

How many videos Can I post? 😛

  3. phil says:

    These are a bit dated, but since more than likely I won’t be contrinbuting to this thread oor the forseeable future….I’m gonna pick;

Guarding the Globe: I enjoyed it, but it didn’t blow my socks off

WW 602: So far I’m into this whole deconstructing WW to reconstruct her dilly-o

Superman 702 As much as I liked 701…702 not so much. Will elaborate later

    DD-shadowland: Still intrigued

AAcademy: Being 3 issues in, I definitely wanna pick up the trade

  4. TheMSpot says:

Marvel U. vs The Punisher #3 interesting developments in this issue, and can’t wait to find out how this mini will end.

    Scarlet #2 old Bendis.

  5. Pobra says:

Scarlet #2 for reasons already stated.
Honorable mention to Frankencastle #20, which someone talked me in to buying at the shop. Some pages looked a little shaky, but for the most part was big, over the top fun.

    Pick of the Week–

REBELS #20- If you only pick up one issue of REBELS, this is the one. Probably my single favorite book of the series so far. Lobo is back and he doesn’t disappoint, his throw-down with Pulsar Stargrave is exciting and fun to read. But, as exciting as the Lobo vs an intelligent Neutron Star is to read, the story really is about Vril and his son facing down Brainiac.

As I have said before, REBELS is at it’s best when Vril Dox is facing impossible odds and has to pull his bacon out fo the fire by any means necessary. No supporting cast this time around to clutter up the story, just the Brainiac’s and Lobo slugging it out. This issue also has some of the best art I have seen from Claude ST. Aubin.

Honorable mention goes to Marvel Universe vs. The Punisher #3, kuddos to Jonathan Maberry for taking the story in a direction that I wasn’t expecting and I mean that in a good way. I love being pleasantly surprised by a plot twist that I wasn’t expecting. Goran Parlov art is spot on for this story and he draws one of the funniest decapitations I have ever seen in a comic book.

  7. Bello says:

    This week I picked up:
Punisher VS. the Marvel Universe 3
    Scarlet 2
    Secret Six 25

I felt that Scarlet 2 was the best book of the week for me. I agree with Jose in that issue 2 was just as good if not better than issue 1. Plot development was great and the art is one of a kind.

Secret Six falls second for me I wish they would of continued the story from the previous issue it was so cool, but I still enjoyed this issue and let’s face it how cool will it be to see Bane Riding a t-rex holy shit.

Punisher VS. the Marvel Universe 3 was last for me. The first 2 issues were great, but I feel like that overall story hasn’t had any great action yet. The third issue reaches the climax where we determine who Frank Castle’s real enemy is (no spoiler), but I feel it was a bit predictable I hope the story concludes very well and goes back to the quality of the previous 2 issues.

Overall it was a solid week for comics. I live in VA and I have no school or work tomm due to the hurricane and my local comic shop is having a bunch of sales tomm so I’m going to continue to drink from my Kegarator and get drunk as hell.

  8. Bello says:

What was your favorite book this week Jose?

  9. agent42q says:

Secret Six 25 without a doubt. Here my status quo was rocked, there’s two brilliant twists and took some characters in different directions then I would of guessed. Nothing was predictable, everything was sensible and in character, and incredibly satisfying in way that only a Simone comic can be.

Once again the next issue of Secret Six is the best issue of Secret Six. Always evolving, always building.

  10. Deckel2 says:

Shadowland #3….hahahahahahaha Oh god no never, poor Diggle what have they done to you?

No by far R.E.B.E.L.S #20. Shock and awe people, shock and awe.

  11. zcorp79 says:

Rebels hands down, I like the fact that Lobo was depicted ten times better in Rebels in his fight with Stargrave then how he was used in Green Lantern a few months back in his fight with Atrocitus. Just my opinion though.

  12. My picks are:

Scarlet#2 for reasons explained a thousand times on the open thread

MU vs. Punisher#3. I gotta say this is the first book in a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time where I actually got $4 out of and was happy I bought the book. Maberry really made this into more than the average zombie shoot-out story, so kudos to him for taking the story in a direction that I wasn’t expecting. I have no clue how he’s going to resolve this story in 1 issue, but I’m looking forward to seeing the ending.

  13. Zorba_of_the_Morningstar says:

Astro City Silver Agent #2. An Epic, heartfelt and Brilliant story and conclusion of the last decade of stories.
    Scarlet #2 deserves honorable mention.

  14. tomstewdevine says:

Hellboy for now, because he said he is going back to bprd. but I won’t finish reading all my books until tonight.

    • tomstewdevine says:

Oh boy Avengers: children’s crusade had a really crazy last page and the art by Cheung is spot on. still behind Hellboy though.

      • tomstewdevine says:

#3 for books of the week goes to The Boys, just finished it up and it was very good, a lot of story development and we leaned more about one of the 7.
